VIN Decoding

Every aluminum body has a unique VIN which is determined by the charts below. In the first example VIN A42SB019 below, it is for a Hilux body made in 2009, 42nd week, .005" aluminum, and is the 19th body made for the year. In the second example VIN E04ZBB01 below, it is for a Hilux body made in 2018, 4th week, 0.01" aluminum with premium adhesive, body reinforcing, drop-bed, premium truck reinforcing kit, and is the first one made for the year.

For VIN's dated 2009 to 2012 the 6th character is numerical and part of the sequence number, VIN's dated 2018 and newer the 6th character is a letter and denotes installed options. No bodies were produced for years 2013 through 2017.
